Contract Attorney

Department: Chief Trial Counsel
Qualifications:  Must be an active member, in good standing, of the State Bar of California; minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible and pertinent experience in the practice of law; knowledge of State Bar prosecutorial law and procedure, identification of legal issues, interpretation and application of laws, rules, regulations and other legal authorities; performs legal research; analyzes and prepares pleadings and documents and legal drafting; work will be performed on site under direct supervision; accomplished computer keyboarding skills.

Contract Investigator 

Department: Client Security Fund
Qualifications:  Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience in a field that develops the skills required for the functions and responsibilities of the position; minimum two (2) years experience in a position requiring extensive writing research and analysis, preferably in an investigative environment; must be bondable, have valid California drivers license, and immediate, unlimited access to an automobile; proof of automobile insurance coverage will be required at the time of employment; successful completion of the State Bar validated standard tests for the position; accomplished computer keyboarding skills.
