APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP IS NOW CLOSED Thanks to a grant from the California Bar Foundation, the State Bar of California is pleased to announce that a limited number of scholarships are available to cover registration fees for individuals interested in attending the Pathways to Justice Conference, June 7-8, 2012 at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
Scholarships are intended to enable legal services advocates, court staff or contractors and justice partners from small and rural programs that generally have fewer resources and opportunities for training to fully participate in Pathways to Justice.
Scholarships will cover the conference registration fee valued at $175 (the Early Bird 2-day rate for registrants from the nonprofit/court-affiliated/government setting). Partial travel expenses may be provided on a very limited, case-by-case basis. Scholarship applicants will be required to submit an application by Wednesday, April 25, 2012. The State Bar staff will determine eligibility based on criteria below.
Scholarship recipients will be selected and notified by State Bar staff by Tuesday, May 8, 2012 and will receive instructions to register online. Do not submit a conference registration form for Pathways to Justice until you are notified of your application status.
