Join us at the Convention Opening Day Luncheon and hear Dean Erwin Chemerinsky’s in-depth analysis of the United States Supreme Court’s October 2016 term, including an examination of the nuances of each case and its future impacts. Erwin Chemerinsky is the newly appointed Dean of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, beginning July 1, 2017. He was the founding dean of the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Dean Chemerinsky is a distinguished scholar of Constitutional Law and federal civil procedure, and among the most-cited in the nation. In January 2017 National Jurist magazine again named Erwin Chemerinsky as the most influential person in legal education in the United States.
This luncheon program will offer .75 hour CLE credit. It is a ticketed event. Advanced purchase is recommended. On-site ticket sales will be limited.

Speaker: Chris Cramer, CEO & Co-Founder, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, San Diego
Chris Cramer, along with his business partner, Matt Rattner, Chris helped launch Karl Strauss Brewing Company in 1989. Chris was related to Karl M. Strauss, the company’s original Master Brewer. For the last 29 years he has held a variety of leadership roles in the company including serving as the company’s President from its founding in 1988 until 2004. Chris currently serves as CEO and is focused on defining long-term strategies for growth and identifying growth opportunities and resources for the company. In addition to his work with Karl Strauss, Chris sits on the board for the California Craft Brewers Association and is the immediate Past Chair of the California Restaurant Association. Chris is a community activist and he personally championed many business and legislative reforms that helped pave the way for San Diego to become the world’s capital for craft beer. He has a Bachelor’s degree in History from Stanford University with distinction and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The Business Law Section Breakfast Program also will feature the presentation of the 2017 Business Law Section Annual Lifetime Achievement Award.
