1. What's Publication 250?

Answer: "Pub 250" is the State Bar's internal reference to the printed publication of the California Rules of Professional Conduct and The State Bar Act. This publication also includes Related Constitutional Provisions, Related California Rules of Court, Related Statutes Regarding Discipline of Attorneys and Duties of Members of the State Bar, Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Lawyer Referral Services in California, and Minimum Continuing Legal Education Rules and Regulations. "Pub 250" is published by the State Bar's Office of Professional Competence, Planning and Development.

2. Is a print edition available?

Answer: Yes. The "Pub 250" is available by mail for $20 a copy. Please send a check made payable to The State Bar of California, ATTN: Publication 250, 180 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, or call 415-538-2148.

Copies can also be obtained for $15 a copy by coming to the State Bar offices. The Los Angeles office is located at 1149 South Hill Street, and the San Francisco office is located at 180 Howard Street.
