Date: Tuesday, June 26, 2018
Time: Applicants using laptop computers must be seated no later than 7:20 a.m. All applicants must be seated no later than 7:30 a.m. The examination will begin immediately following the instructions. The morning essay session is four hours and the afternoon multiple-choice session is three hours.

Late filing information
In addition to the application fee, all applications filed between the dates listed below must be accompanied by a late filing fee:
April 3, 2018 – April 30, 2018 $25
May 1, 2018 – May 15, 2018 $200
Requests to withdraw from the June 2018 First-Year Law Students’ Examination must be received by the State Bar’s Office of Admissions on or before the dates listed below in order to qualify for a refund.
March 2, 2018 – May 2, 2018 (30 days after timely filing deadline) 60% refund
May 3, 2018 – May 17, 2016 (45 days after timely filing deadline) 30% refund
May 17, 2018 – June 12, 2018 0% refund

The transfer of fees from one examination to another is prohibited.
Refunds requested due to hospitalization, death or call to active duty will be considered in accordance with the Committee of Bar Examiners’ refund policy. Copies of the policy and forms to request a refund and withdrawal from the examination are available on the State Bar website.
Applicants who change their address after filing the application can make updates by logging into the admissions status screen on the State Bar website.
If admittance tickets are lost, a duplicate can be printed from the Status Screen.
Results from the June 2018 First-Year Law Students’ Examination are scheduled to be mailed to applicants on Aug. 10, 2018.
