With more people looking for legal assistance online, the State Bar of California is reviewing its rules for Certified Lawyer Referral Services to see if there's a better way to connect people with attorneys while protecting the public from misleading and/or exaggerated claims. The State Bar regulates Lawyer Referral Services to help low- and moderate-income Californians find attorneys who have relevant experience, malpractice insurance and who are willing to offer affordable legal services.
