Bernard E. Witkin Medal
2012 Bernard E. Witkin Medal recipient:
Constitutional scholar and UC Berkeley School of Law professor Jesse H. Choper received the Bernard E. Witkin Medal at the State Bar's Annual Meeting in Monterey.
Established in 1993, the Witkin medal honors attorneys, judges and legal scholars whose lifetime body of work has altered the legal landscape. The medal is named after its first winner, a notable legal scholar who died in 1995 at the age of 91.
