- All California attorneys must provide an email address to the State Bar under a rule of court approved by the Supreme Court effective Feb. 1, 2010. Sign on to My State Bar Profile to submit an email address and update your contact information.
- At their July 2011 meeting, the State Bar Board of Governors adopted amendments to Rule 2.16 that eliminate four categories of fee waivers. Effective immediately, medical hardship/natural disaster/family emergency, financial hardship, "one-time-only" and staff error waiver provisions have been eliminated. (Fees charged erroneously due to staff error will continue to be corrected.)
