Publication 250

In addition to the Rules of the State Bar, other legal authority applies to the State Bar of California and its members. Publication 250 is a selective compilation of that authority. It includes the judicial article of the California Constitution (Article VI), California Rules of Court, the sections of the Business and Professions Code known as the State Bar Act, and other statutes.

The 2023 Publication 250 is available for download in PDF format:

  • Volume 1 includes: Current California Rules of Professional Conduct, The State Bar Act (Business and Professions Code sections 6000 et seq.), and the Former Rules of Professional Conduct.
  • Volume 2 includes: Selected California Rules of Court; Selected Statutes Regarding Duties of Attorneys and Discipline; Rules of the State Bar Pertaining to Client Trust Accounts, Lawyer Referral Services, and Minimum Continuing Legal Education; Pro Bono Resolution; Mortgage Assistance Relief Services Rule; and Construction-Related Disability Access Claims Information.
