How to Participate in State Bar Proceedings

The State Bar of California welcomes public input and participation in our proceedings. There are two main ways to engage with the State Bar and share your voice: You can submit a public comment on policy proposals and participate in public meetings.

Submit written comments on policy proposals

The State Bar regularly seeks public input on important policy matters, including proposed amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct, ethics opinions, and other regulatory issues. These formal comment periods allow you to provide written feedback that becomes part of the public record and helps inform our decision-making process.
