Wall Admission Certificate

As a licensed attorney with the State Bar of California, you may order a Wall Certificate to display in your office or home. The certificate will show your official name as listed in your public My State Bar Profile.

Important:

  • Certificates can only be mailed to the address in your public profile. Please verify and update your mailing address before placing an order by logging in to My State Bar Profile.
  • Only one Wall Certificate may be in your possession at any time.

Certificate Options

You can choose one of two Wall Certificate types: Standard or Custom. You may order only one certificate, not one of each type.

  • Text is not raised; your name and admission date are underlined and lithographically impressed
  • Features the embossed gold Supreme Court seal
  • Produced by the California Supreme Court at no cost
  • Processing time: approximately 10 weeks*
  • Printed on cream parchtone paper, size 11" x 14"
  • Text is raised (except your name and date)
  • Name printed in Old English font
  • Includes the embossed gold Supreme Court seal
  • Cost: $95
  • Processing time: approximately 10 weeks*

*For certificates sent to international addresses:

  • Add 4 additional weeks for processing.
  • Tracking numbers for Custom Wall Certificates are available upon request; tracking is not available for Standard Wall Certificates.

How to Order

  • Log in to the Admissions Applicant Portal using your historical Office of Admissions account (do not create a new account). If you are unable to access the portal, email WallCertificates@calbar.ca.gov for assistance.
  • Select View Forms under the Apply section.
  • Scroll to the Services section and choose Standard Wall Certificate Request or Custom Wall Certificate Request.
  • Click Launch Application to complete your order.

Additional information

  • Certificate dimensions may not fit in a P.O. Box (Standard - 11" x 15.5"; Custom - 11" x 14"). Please coordinate directly with your post office or the facility where your P.O. Box is located to ensure successful delivery.
  • If you need a replacement due to damage or a name change, return the original certificate to:

    Once your original certificate is received, we will process your request for a new Wall Certificate.

  • If you need a replacement due to loss, please follow the instructions in How to Order. On the order form, select Lost as the reason for replacement.
  • Wall Admission Certificates and Legal Specialization (LS) Wall Certificates are separate.
