I didn’t save my Tester ID and cannot find the email. What do I do?
If you completed your test and received your certificate of completion, you do not need to do anything. If you need to complete a test, access a certificate of completion, or save a receipt after the fact, you need the Tester ID. If you cannot locate your ID, please contact us at feedback@calbar.ca.gov.
How do I print a certificate of completion for MCLE credit?
Go to Certificate of Completion, enter your Tester ID, then click the Next button. The MCLE Self-Study Certificate of Completion, Test, and Answers will display. To print only your certificate of completion, please choose the "Printer friendly version - MCLE certificate only" link at the top of that webpage.
How do I print a receipt of my payment?
Go to Payment Summary, enter your Tester ID, then click the Next button. Your payment summary (receipt) will display.
I paid $25, but I can't take the test.
Go to Complete Unfinished Test and enter the Tester ID you received for the test. Then click Next. You will be taken to the MCLE article and 20 questions.
Can I mail in a printed test?
No, all MCLE tests offered by the State Bar are available only online. Only the online self-assessment tests are eligible for MCLE credit.
Where can I find my Tester ID?
The Tester ID was displayed when you paid for the test, on the payment confirmation webpage. It was also emailed to the account you used when you registered with the State Bar or, for those not licensed in California, to the email address you entered when you started the Self-Study payment process. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam or junk folder.
I want to print the test, but the font is too small to read.
You can increase the font size by adjusting your browser settings to "zoom" in. This will increase the size in the printed version as well.
When I try to take the test, I'm put in a loop that asks me to make another payment.
If you already made a payment and received a confirmation, do not click the Take MCLE Test button. Instead, go to Complete Unfinished Test, enter the Tester ID sent to your email address, and click Next. The MCLE article and 20 questions will display.
I am having a problem submitting my test.
Some test takers have experienced problems when using Internet Explorer 10. Please use a different web browser.
I paid $25 for the wrong test. What can I do?
If you paid $25 for a particular test, you can take only that test. If you wish to take a different test, you must pay $25 for that article and test. If you wish a refund, please contact us at feedback@calbar.ca.gov. Be sure to close and restart your web browser before trying to take a new test.
