Results for the February exam are usually released in mid-May, and results for the July exam are released in mid-November.
If you did pass the California Bar Exam, congratulations. If you have met all other requirements, you are now ready to take the attorney's oath. You will soon receive more details about your State Bar license and how to update your contact information.
The information will include what the State Bar requires for Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and how to pay your annual fees.
Due to COVID-19 and in order to adhere to current health advice and to ensure safety for all, the June Admission Ceremonies have been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Applicants can swear in virtually once their oath packets have been received. To do so, please follow these suggested guidelines:
The applicant or official needs to mail the oath card back to the California State Bar, specifically to the address noted on the card.
If you did not pass and want to repeat the test, the period to register for the September 2020 California Bar Exam opens after 6:00 p.m. May 8.
You may want to review past exams, including questions and selected answers, as well as other information.
