The State Bar’s mission is to protect the public and includes the primary functions of licensing, regulation and discipline of attorneys; the advancement of the ethical and competent practice of law; and support of efforts for greater access to, and inclusion in, the legal system.
The State Bar seeks seasonal proctors to help administer the California Bar Exam on July 30-31, 2024. As an exam proctor, you will play a key role in helping the Office of Admissions meet its mission of licensing attorneys to practice law in California. You will help ensure that the administration of the exam follows the policies and procedures established and set by the Committee of Bar Examiners. Compensation for this position is $25 an hour.

Please note: Any person who is a law clerk, law student, paralegal, or admitted as an attorney in any jurisdiction cannot proctor any exam given by the State Bar of California.
